New Customers Watch Out for Scifidreamgirls Scam

Post by Sthurmovik » Sat Nov 16, 2013 9:28 am

For anyone wanting to try Scifidreamgirls, watch out because they sign you up for the old automatic re-billing scam which is in fine print on the first page and don't provide any automatic notifications or straightforward way to stop the rebilling which involves going through the account cancellation process. No this is not a standard practice either as all my other subscription sites send out warnings before cutting you off.

UPDATE: I did manage to get a full refund for the month in question, although their customer relations could still use some work.

I have had to cancel my Scifidreamgirls membership twice due two some unrelated issues with my Credit Card. Both times it was painless. I clicked the "contact us" link and asked them not to bill my card again at the end of my one month term. I got an email the same day or the following day from the Phoenix Group confirming my cancellation and thanking for my business. As for the membership renewal, the policy is posted pretty prominently on the signup page, but I agree it would be better to notify customers when the membership term is about to rollover. I think the term "scam" is somewhat unfair, however it is possible that your personal experience differed greatly from my own.

As far as the site content is concerned there is both good and bad. Ashley and several of the other actresses do very nice job with robot acting. Ashley has one of the best vacant stares in the business and malfunctions with the best of them. She has really made a big investment in our community and made a solid effort to learn about the robot fetish community. She has put together some pretty elaborate sets and props and has experimented with special effects in a very significant way. In a number of the clips there is a minimal amount of ASFR content which is often concentrated in the front or end of the clip followed or proceeded by lengthy and often graphic sex/masterbation scenes. When Ashley focuses on the asfr content she does a very nice job along with Rosie and several other actresses. I do think the clips are improving and I did enjoy the recent Ashley 3000 goes to space series. I would personally prefer to see more clips like that one. It was fun and loaded with asfr content. She seems to pay attention to our suggestions and I like the trend I've seen in her work over the past two months. The livecam feature discussed in other post , never really amounted to much after the first show. I don't know what Ashely has planned for the future, but if your decision to purchase a membership is influenced by the promise of livecam shows, check with Ashley before signing up. I don't regret my membership and I have enjoyed many of Ashley's clips, but if you are not into graphic sex this may not be the site for you. For now I intend to browse her clips4sale site and keep a lookout for any promising-looking clips as they are posted.

Hello Sthurmovik!

I brought this issue up with the company that runs and processes Scifidreamgirls.com and they tell a very different story.

First I read the email exchanges between you and the customer service reps. And I found your emails to be rude and uncalled for. There was no tricky here on anyone's part besides yours!

I am calling shenanigans on you!

First you did get your money back! So the last line of your bullshit post is wrong!

Second you are the only one that has signed up that did not know about the auto rebill.

Third and the worse one of all is you downloaded all of the videos and pictures off the site! If the content is so-so then why did you download all of it?? Why not watch a few of the scenes and then cancel when it was not for you? So You download all of the sites content which takes a very long time and then decide to get mad when you are billed another month?? WTF???

It seems to me that you wanted to join, download all the content and then cancel. And then be a jerk about it. People like you is why it is hard to make money from the web sites.

You sir are the scammer and asshole!

I have been in this biz a long time. I would never associate or do business with dishonest people. I think everyone here knows that.

59 Hours??? This sure is a lot of activity for someone that thought the content wasn't that great!!

Seriously who doesn't just assume that a subscription site will automagically renew these days? He's lucky he got the refund. In OP's defense, I don't see anything wrong with downloading all the content in a month and cancelling - I mean, at least you're getting paid something as opposed to someone just pirating it all. If signing up for only a month, DLing all content then cancelling is a real problem that's losing you and your associates money, perhaps you should put a limit on how many videos a user can download per month. It can be a PITA to the longer term customers, but I'm sure they'd rather you continue making money and therefore more/better content if that's a serious problem.

Also, you probably shouldn't have posted OP's IP address on a public forum. I know you had to do damage control but you could be making this person vulnerable to security threats, especially considering the content associated with it. This forum understands that OP was "pulling a fast one", and we don't need his IP address to see that your site has great content. The fact that you come on this forum and give us your POV means more to your fans and this forum than a single user's complaints.

I'm not positive but I think she blacked out Sthurm's IP. Perhaps that's the websites IP or the address where the videos were downloaded from?

Maybe. It appears there's at least 2 IPs in the download records, which could be from using different computers or a WiFi hotspot.

Ashley was pissed that Sthurmovik said the content was "so-so" meaning that it wasn't that great. The inference being that if he disliked the content and chose to use it as an excuse to cancel his subscription, why then did he download all of the site's content? It's like going to a diner and sampling a few dishes then declaring you don't like it, then continuing to order stuff and refusing to pay the check because it tasted bad.
And then writing a negative review in the paper.
