The V.I.C.I. Diaries: The End (of the season) is near

Well.....it's been a long, often difficult road to the Season 1 finale, and believe it or not, there were times I didn't think I'd make it this far.

But lo and behold, the final story of the season---"Valley of the Damned"---is now at 26 pages and counting, and I fully intend to have this thing up by July 31.

More info as events warrant...

Apologies for the double post, but there have been....delays in the season finale. Rest assured, though, that it WILL be up by this Saturday.

Surprise, surprise----Valley of the Damned still isn't finished....and I notice that almost nobody cares anymore.

The reason I write The V.I.C.I. Diaries is because I assume people are still interested in it. If nobody gives a crap whether or not this keeps going, then I have no reason to keep writing---if you DO want it to keep going, on the other hand, then I'll be happy to keep writing. I've seen this problem on other forums I'm a part of, and I've seen plenty of fanfic projects go down the tubes because all people want to post are teasers and "cast lists"; I, on the other hand, have been writing almost non-stop since 2009, and I appreciate it when people show THEIR appreciation for my work.

Sorry if it sounds like I'm whinging, but doing all the work and getting fewer and fewer comments with every story is getting really old, really fast.

Well, whatever happens, I'm still stoked for the finale... and long stories satisfy my hunger for "meat" to savor on. Probably the wrong metaphor, but it works. Really hope everything works out, I'm curious as to how Vicki might handle the DVS towards the end...

Good news: "Valley of the Damned" is still on.

Bad news: It's still not finished, and will probably stay that way until the end of the month.

I've got three or four other projects going at the moment (including my first forray into M.U.G.E.N), but rest assured: the first season of The V.I.C.I. Diaries WILL be posted before the end of August....just not today.

I've promised, time and again, that "Valley of the Damned" will be up by the end of the week, or tomorrow, or whatever. All those times, I couldn't live up to that because of a few other obligations.

This time....I'm giving myself a deadline I can actually meet.

"Valley of the Damned" will be posted, in full, by the end of this month.

I look forward to this a lot. I've talked much with Duke and, while I'm not sure I like the way the plot of the series again, I know he's a good writer and I look forward to reading this piece, having a front row for all the action and such. I can't wait to read it
