I'm not dead.

I could really just leave it at that, to be honest....after all, what else can someone say to the allegations that they've disappeared off the face of the earth? But it's more than that.

Ever since my last recorded journal entry---hang on. Before this gets too confusing, I might as well explain a few things--because the only way you could be viewing this message safely is if you're a member of the Artificial Lifeform Protection agency (and before you ask, no---they haven't figured out how to change it to ALPHA) or a trusted family member of someone in the ALPA.

My name is Victoria Ann Smith Lawson. Also known as Vicki Lawson.

Also known as the original Voice Input Cybernetic Identicant (V.I.C.I.).

Ever since last July, things have been....rough. I've nearly been destroyed (or killed, depending on how you look at it) fifteen times, I've lost two friends, been infected with a virus that nearly wiped my CPU clean, seen three family members sent to the hospital, matched wits with a criminal mastermind and---oh, yeah---fought beings that aren't even from this planet.

So...it's a bit understandable that a girl robot would want a break after all of that.

See, I've been trying to balance college life with this whole "save the world, protect all artificial beings" thing, and it hasn't been easy. I've almost had my cover blown a few times, and I've almost lost a very close friend. Most people would say that robots don't understand the concepts of "friendship" or "loyalty" or anything like that....but then again, most people aren't in the ALPA.

Anyways, the reason I'm posting this message is to remind you all that I'm still here. I haven't been destroyed, decommissioned, scrapped, wiped and/or reprogrammed...

In fact....

I'm just getting warmed up.
