looking for a story

okay all i remember about this one is a woman is slowly changing into a robot. Eventually, later on in the story, she finds out that a dimensional rift experiment (or something) has gone wrong and her robot self from that other universe have switched body. They chat about it discuss how different and alike they're lives are as others on the problem of fixing this. Anyone remember that story?
