I vote for 'Master'

More likely it will depend on the situtation/location.

Out in public more Formal, among friend, informal, in private...well you get the idea

I think it would have to alternate, especially if you're trying to pass her off as human, or even trying to ingratiate her with your friends. It's not a fembot story, but I always remember a piece over at the EMCSA called "Acts of Godfrey" when dealing with this kind of differentiation. There the master has to explicitly give instructions to his servant that she is not to use Master unless they're totally alone, so as not to attract attention. I also kind of like the idea of layers, of fooling the public and then coming home to have a Master/Robot relationship. It could be just a game that we play, but isn't part of the joy of having a robot knowing that she has been programmed for this kind of activity, rather than just trying to guess at what you want?

I think I'd have her just use my name, entirely informal.

But if happened to give her a really commanding order, then she'd say "yes master" but in a half-amused, half-awestruck fashion.

i feel the same as Svengli, unless i was really stressing an order i would keep it informal. The master thing would be fun for a while but it would wear on me after some time i think.

When androids are common, that might change how we'd want to be addressed, because social norms might have changed. In fact, before androids get here we might develop a social norm, as computers become more and more social with us. Right now, they can "understand' us to a small degree, but when they start fluidly responding, they will have to address us in some natural manner. Personally, I prefer "master" at least in private. That would change in various circumstances, depending on evolved social norms and the activity. I say all that, but none of us has actually dealt with a production model, so we might change our minds when confronted with the reality!

It would depend on the circumstances. Depending on the situation, I would sometimes want her to use my normal first name, in an ordinary way,
but sometimes I would want a 'sir' from her, too, and in a formal and deferential tone.

And my personal quirk would also want her to have a subpersonality that was bossy and dominant, when she was in that mode I'd call her 'Ma'am' and she'd call me whatever she thought appropriate.

Since my bot would be as realistic and human like as possible, I would like her to call me by my name most of the time with master thrown in from time to time in intimate situations.
