AWESOME game.
It could use some tweaking though. For example, it doesn't come up with anything to enter my name in, at times nothing seems to happen, and it would be great if we could remove the text box with the push of a button temporarily to look at the art under it.
I also think some of the English needs to be tweaked, but not bad.
I really like the character, but maybe you should describe things less, and show things more, if possible.
Great job so far though!! :D

I just tried the game and its a lot of fun. I downloaded the demo and may start playing around with it myself. How long did it take you to create what you have so far? Did you have to create all the images or are there 'stock' images available?

When I unzip it and try to run it, the program says it's missing a DLL d3dx9_37.dll is missing.

Just played it. Most excellent, Thurosis! Like many others, I can't wait to see the rest of the game. Great job for your first try at this sort of thing. Keep it up, and keep us in the loop about any other further releases/projects!

Also, big props to Body for the artwork in the first place. It's good to see you back at it, and I'd love to see translations of some of your work.

P.S. Was that also a bit of Sonic 2 I heard in the soundtrack? You just made my night, man!

RAR 3.90 beta 2 Copyright (c) 1993-2009 Alexander Roshal 3 Jun 2009
Shareware version Type RAR -? for help

Testing archive /home/mike/Desktop/Felicia the Foxdroid.rar

Testing fmodex.dll OK
Testing log.txt OK
Testing Felicia the Foxdroid.exe OK
Testing Felicia the Foxdroid.nvz OK
All OK
And it looks like that .dll can be downloaded here.
I haven't tried the game, nor have I downloaded the .dll file, so don't forget to scan it for malware. ;)
Which file on there should I use?

I tried the game out. Sadly, the ending there was a bit glitchy. Is there a way to fix it, or is it like that?

All in all, thank Robotman and you, Thurosis, for giving me a chance to play this. Next I play rar.file games, I'll check for malware, which was safe with no bugs, and use 7zip.

Hope for the full version... :D

Some of it is okay. The part where you choose which to perform on Felicia is a llittle glitchy. Some of the picture is jumpy.

You ever notice that?

Oh wow, quite a lot of replys, while i was away.
thanks everybody ^^ but not forget to thank body too who designed Felicia ;)

Now i try to answer as good as i can to every question. ^^;

Thanks ^^
I know what you mean, but i'm sorry my english isn't the best but i will try my best to make the next chapter better ;)
about the things which could be improved more. I'm still not familiar with this novelty programm, but i will try to fix them ;)
General wrote:I just tried the game and its a lot of fun. I downloaded the demo and may start playing around with it myself. How long did it take you to create what you have so far? Did you have to create all the images or are there 'stock' images available?
Thank you too ;D
How long it took me? quite a lot... i started last friday afternoon, and finished it on sunday night. but in total for this 10 minute demo it took me about around 30 hours ...
why it took so long? because the most time taking part was to turn body's Felicia (http://www.pixiv.net/member_illust.php? ... d=18065136) into a "sprites" for novelty...
for each body pose and each facial expression had combine them (here link to the sprite http://thurosis.deviantart.com/art/Feli ... -206503169 which i make)
I had to turn all jpeg into png and them i had to clean the borders of Felicia because i didn't want that some white pixels disturb the background... after that i had to turn tem into an image set
more about it here http://www.visualnovelty.com/tutorials/2/
oh yes, now mention it... the other thing which took time was to watching all tutorials on youtube or reading threads in the novelty forum and trying to figur out how to make it.

Novelty itself have some stock stuff. but i didn really like them much but Novelty contains another program which is called "NoveltyML Designer" which this thing you can turn many things into useable stuff for yor game. (exsample: the sounds i used in the game)

maax wrote:When I unzip it and try to run it, the program says it's missing a DLL d3dx9_37.dll is missing.
sorry i don't know how to solve this problem, but it seems like robotman helped you out already , right?
The Liar wrote:Really? The name thing shows up for me. Might just be your computer.
Glad to hear, but i wonder why it didn't poped up at gynoidneko ...
Because it shows me the option to type a name in on my pc and on the laptop from my sister...

thank you TW ^^ also thank you that you thank body too, because he was the artist who designed the cute Felicia ;)
and of course, i will give and try my best because you all are my most important and "dearest" audience which i like to entertain xD

and yes i used soundtrack of sonic2 metropolis http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=yRuJfhEeCe8 and soundtracks of secret of mana xD

You are welcome, I'm sorry for the glitchy part, as i mentioned before/above i'm still not familiar with this Novelty programm.. (btw even Novelty itself is just a beta version =P )

yes, noticed that, and i also find out why it was jumpy... and to correct this jumpy-thing i need to make the image set (the sprite) of Felicia completly new...
( about 4 and more hours) It i was fatal mistake to make them in middle of the night ^^;
BUT!!!! but this shoudn't be an excuse. I'll of course try to make it better next time and fix it of course ;)

Now, i want to thank everyone again ^^ and a huge THANK YOU to Body for creating Felicia XD

I was playing the game in full screen, I'll try again in windowed mode. Maybe in full screen the window to enter my name didn't show up? Just something to be aware of. I'll check it again.
If you need any more testing, or any more ideas or tweaking, I'll be glad to help, even though I am incredibly busy :P

For those who have a Pixiv-account

I drew a sketchy short story about Vengeance:

maybe Robotman can upload it to fembot wiki?

thanks in advance
