Prepare to be totally baffled by this music video which I'd diplomatically call 'ambitious'. All I can say is that at one point there's an army of frozen robotic women. And then some green lasers. And then everything seems to explode for a reason known only the director. It's almost intriguing enough to watch again and try to decipher. Almost.

I hadn't seen this before. A mini-documentary from 2001 featuring some regulars here... I'd forgotten a lot of those old website title pages!

I was just hoping for a better resolution version, couldn't find one in a quick look at the university website.

Sign me up for that program. Do it now!

I wonder if she's programed for tutoring? I may need some help with my courses and I'm willing to work closely with her for extra credit :)

It's funny how some of the best ASFR stuff out there is by complete accident, or at least not in a place you'd expect to find it. :)

And here's to ASFR slowly becoming more acceptable, even if most people out there don't actually realize it!

I would strongly like to urge you against doing so even if such robotics skills actually existed in AMA Computer University. A brief Wikipedia search reveals that the college is basically a magnet for controversy and other negative aspects:

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/AMA_Computer_University
  • Alleged unfair dismissals,
  • a murder case involving a staff member
  • improper retrenchment of a prinicipal
  • political non-neutrality (a no-no in any proper university beyond the obvious "keep our college alive" survival politics)
  • a attempted brute-force takeover of another competing college using actual brute force (countered by legal appeals that withstood multiple appeals by the ini),
  • accreditation removal by local education authorities for failing to maintain a semblance of an actual educational institution by their standards
  • apparent inability to field actual current students in the school Basketball team in contravention of academic amateur league rules
  • inability to tolerate parody and ribbing from its own students
  • A sex scandal
  • inability to pay the landlord properly
  • A student whose final thesis resulted in a worldwide viral infection called "ILOVEYOU"
Please look over it (details in the wikipedia entry), and then tell me again that you want to study at AMAES with a straight face.

I'm practically surprised that "selling students' previous projects as suicide bomber androids" isn't on the list.

I have no intention of studying anything anywhere other than perhaps the lint in my navel. I'm to old and to tired. I was just being silly :)

Seriously though, I suspect if you do a little digging you can find dirt at any University.

A friend of mine is sort of a student counselor at a world class school and I've heard things but this is getting off topic so I'll shut up now.

"Most recommended computer school in the Philippines" didn't exactly fill me with much confidence; can't say I'm at all surprised to hear about the corruption.

Still, catchy ad!

Kishin, despite the fact that you gave me a wedgie last week (IT STILL CHAFES, DAMNIT!), I'm offering this up for the YouTube thread. If it's been posted before, here it is again----a music video called "Babycakes." I have no idea what the song is about (I watch YouTube with the sound off, with rare exceptions), but it's damned funny. Enjoy.
Elvis Lives. Not in this timeline, but in quite a few others.

Ah. Art. Yawn.

BTW, I make it a rule not to choose any school, lawyer, doctor, financial investment, or basically any major life decision that needs to advertise on TV. There's a reason they do so.
I just hope more of them put gynoids in their commercials.
