NRG's Android Cheerleaders vid: Any good?

Recently, someone linked to NRG's new video, Android Cheerleaders. The description on NRG's website seemed pretty tantalizing, although the duct-taped programming pad on one of the girl's backs was less so.

Has anyone seen this yet? Is it any good?

Yeah the duct tape looks pretty cheesy.

You would think being cheerleaders and all, they would know about spirit gum.

Well, I downloaded it, in spite of these middling reviews. And while it's certainly no masterpiece, I will say this: they made an effort. This was not just normal porn with androids as an incidental plot point: it was pointedly scewed toward our demographic (hence all the mangled "technical" dialogue), obviously derivative of the "Commercial Lesbots" video, and probably inspired by that other video's continual success as a top seller. So, this is a promising development, which I don't regret rewarding.

I was actually about to post this same question until I found this thread. I would like to ask, what makes it so bad? Is it just bad acting or what? The description does indeed seem tantalizing.

Well I couldn't resist and had to see it for myself so I bought it. I have to say, I thought it was good. Yeah the acting was bad but we're talking about porn here, not a Hollywood blockbuster. More than anything it was refreshing to see a video catered to the type of stuff we're looking for, and without any hypnosis or transformation which for me at least are huge turnoffs. Yeah they weren't as convincing at the robotic act as those associated with the Chelsea vids but at least they tried and you have to admit that the girls are way more attractive which I think goes a long way. I give it a 3 or even a 4, depending on what you're in the mood for.

Though I can't buy these vids (Japan is a cash society, and I'm too "poor" to merit a credit card here) the above point is a big one.

If I could, I'd probably give this video a shot because the actresses are reasonably attractive. The story or genre of ASFR is not so important for me, but the #1 consideration is the gynoids be attractive.

Who would build a sex robot that was ugly, or looked like an addict just trying to earn $50 for the next high, or the like? Totally ruins it, and thus about 85% of the indie stuff out there is worthless, even some things from good producers.

I'm in agreement with the above sentiments... despite the less-than-stellar reviews, I'd probably fork over the money for the video if I could afford it (just can't really justify the expense right now). The fact that the girls are portraying genuine 100% robotic characters and not just women who are hypnotized or mind-controlled or whatever into acting like robots goes a long way.

(The prospect of some gynoid-gynoid action doesn't hardly put me off, neither...

)

There's no small part of me that feels a need to vote with my wallet in favor of this kind of thing, in hopes that it inspires more such projects.

Well, having read the reviews here I decided to vote with my wallet and by the DVD as downloading is patchy at the best of times were I am. I agree, that the fact this is a gynoid based story, not hypno bots and that the girls are better looking than Chelsea and co (sorry to fans of that production company) is the reason for my parting with my cash.
If the acting isn't great, so what, your hardly going to get top notch actresses doing a bit of nude bot on bot action acting now are you... I still wait to see if Ashley Fires comes up trumps with her promise of something for us, see http://www.fembotcentral.com/viewtopic.php?t=6222.
Anyway, I'd buy either model if they was for sale. In short, good on them for acting as bot's, having a bit of girl on girl action and getting paid for it at the same. I'm hoping they'll do some more if enough people flash the cash.......Come on, support those that are trying to give us some thing worth while. There's enough people here that complain about the lack of bot porn, and beggers can't be choosers.
