Though the proper, 1975 film of Stepford suggests only replacement,
I personally prefer a scheme involving nanites and transmat beams.
Very clean, no suffering, and then empty, non-sentient bliss.
But if a robot is built, and programmed to believe that she had been a human, is that enough for the people who dislike transformations?
And what if we and she can not know? I do not enjoy inflicting suffering, but rather inducing a breakdown of composure which combines and confuses embarrassment with arousal.
I want to write an outline or two for Robolust. My principle is that robots are betrayed not only by faulty arm movements, slowing speech, and error messages; but also by incompatibilities between the meaning of a phrase and the way it is spoken; random, preposterous fragments of ideas; switching between sexually prim and fiercely fembot; incongruities and glaring inconsistencies implying that there is no coherent persona inside, but a computer programmed designed to cleverly output responses to suit the scene. If there is no ego at work, she will perform flawlessly as a fembot.
Behave properly, both ways, at the same time
1) Good girl/respectable Stepford Lady - in public, kids, outsiders
2) Slut-robot-concubine, when appropriate
I want to put that tension into an interview for a job at Sexworld, and for the discrepancies in the scene to imply that the new employee would be converted, or already has been, or never was born human at all. This intense confusion and embarrassment allows her to lose control of the restraints on her sexuality, and what is revealed is a robot that lusts so greatly that she can function, but can't simulate self-reflection. Being, not thinking.
I would most prefer to add a story to Robolust, if it would be one which members here would want to see.

Sounds good...
You, Sir, are on my wavelength! I'd be interested in reading what you come up with.
I've long been sure that many of the themes around here: transformation, malfunction, 'sleepers', reprogramming, remote controls, freeze etc all spring from a common deep seated sexual urge expressed through different shorthands. Something along the 'I just can't help myself' line in the conventional world maybe?
Exploring the thematic boundaries we have made for ourselves could lead to some powerful stories - good luck!

I don't mean to partially hijack this thread, but it seems releated to something about which I was thinking of posting.
I've been trying to develop a brief script for a new animation (which I'm going to try to keep very short and to the point) based on a fembot's inability to solve an apparent paradox. After scouring wikipedia with no luck (yet) I thought I'd ask the folks here for help (once again, sorry). I think a non-sentient android's programming is ripe for taking purported claims as absolute truths - surely that must be a paradoxical minefield. If anyone has any ideas how such a paradox might be the source idea for an animation of a fembot washing a car, feel free to PM me.
