What's the difference between a water dragon and any other type of Oriental dragon?

Canadian lighthouse to U.S. warship approaching it: This is a lighthouse; your call.

In Chinese astrology, the animal zodiac signs also correspond to the five elements of their mythology depending on the year. Those are Metal, Water, Wood, Fire, and Earth. Here's one reference to the different personality types that are allegedly associated:

Re: HAPPY NEW YEAR!!
I've known my zodiac to be the Dragon since I was born in '88 but didn't know about the elementals until now.
It feels empowering in some ways. I'm not always more rational than not in contrary to how Earth Dragons are described as, though. If anything, I have a strong obsessive nature (I do have mild Aspergers so that's part of it) that is hard to break out of until my mind gets worn out.
