Long time feeling so, more so on days when my eyes gum up so bad I can't see to do the crossword.

The Singularity, and a lot of other oncoming futures,
will be preempted by an asteroid-like, surprise inevitability, which
we will call "The Black Swan" or "Wormwood"
or an "out-of-context problem".

That's no psychic prediction, but more of a statement about complex systems,
and how being deeply immersed inside them can leave one still profoundly blind
to a sudden and utter ending.

Sit back, and watch it run straight down.
