Guys and Dolls

NOT sex dolls, NOT fembots; just dolls as in mundane, children's dolls; and I'm ready to tell you all this:

Despite being male, I enjoyed playing with dolls as a kid.

I would play with my cousin's dolls when she visited, and very much enjoyed it.

THEN,I tried asking my parents for dolls of my own. It didn't go well. They were VERY big on gender roles and never caved. I remember liking my action figures too, don't get me wrong, but dolls were a "forbidden" interest for much of my childhood. Not sure how many of us here remember "My Buddy" and "Kid Sister", but I wanted the Kid Sister doll so bad, that when I got a My Buddy, it was the ultimate insult.

I'd also like to add that I have NO gender issues from this.

I'd hidden this for years; but I'm finally ready to reveal this and also discuss it; curious if anyone else here can relate.

Hope for feedback soon.
