because I make poor decisions at night and cause it's something I've been thinking would be useful ever since FW changed hands I've set up a fembot specific imagebooru. I'm still learning how to do stuff but I've opened account regs and stuff so others can upload images to it:

Since this is a free thing it's running a very early version of the gelbooru platform, so no tag colors/types, no pools, etc if you're used to those things unfortunately! It's still much more robust as a tagging system than FW, however - both for entering tags, and searching.

I've created a small rules post on the embedded forum here, for acceptable content guidelines. Any kind of visual media complying with these (and booru.org 's rules), within reason, should be acceptable.

If you decide to upload images, please remember to tag and source your uploads! You can be as granular or specific as you'd like (I've tagged some example images with lots of specific robot and non-robot categories, as an example). Any untagged/poorly tagged or sourced images will be deleted after a short period, and I'll ban accounts that repeatedly violate that or other rules. Unsourced images are not too much of a problem since some sources may no longer exist, but I'd ideally like to keep things sourced as much as possible if you can.

No problem. There's no specific medium it's focused on - manips, photos, etc are totally welcome, so long as they fit the fembot theme. Right now it's mostly artwork, because I wanted to put some easily sourced example images in to build up a tag list. You're more than welcome to post more of that stuff yourself if it's what you like though! (again, tagged and ideally sourced!)

Any artists/manippers here are more than welcome to post their own stuff, as well.

Looking through it, and there isn't really any kind of tagging of robot specific stuff on that one, so it's not really what I'd be looking for in a fembot themed booru, not to mention the possibility of inactive administration.

Update: gynoidbooru now stands at 100 images, tagged and mostly sourced. I've done the bulk of the uploading so far, so there's a fairly wide variety of robot tropes in there, since I wanted to fill out the tags for that stuff, along with the usual non-robot tags you'd see in a standard booru.

I've also added some tips to the forum post above, cause since we're running a fairly early version some features like favouriting (hint, click the "keep" link under the image to add to favourites) are kinda obscure and undocumented.

Gynoidbooru now has 250 images (more if you count subposts), sourced and tagged.
I think the tagging system's pretty solid now, it's got more or less every kind of robot trope that I could think of in a decent amount of granularity (eg damage to different parts are all separate tags); but if anyone has any suggestions to how it could be better, feel free to lemme know in this thread.

As always, image and tag contributors are welcome, provided the follow the rules set out in the booru's forumpost. Registration is open and email-optional.

Late-ish update! Gynoidbooru now has 300+ images and a link in the affiliates section of FembotWiki! (Thanks, Spaz!).

Current priority on it for me is linking similar keywords (e.g. "deactivation" and "deactivated") with the alias tool so that they all link to the same tag, and posting more examples of malfunction art and the like, since that seems to be one of the few things the booru is currently lacking topicwise. If you have any favorite pieces with malfunctions, or anything else, feel free! Just be sure to source and tag things if you can, as that's a big help for other users.

One thing as well to be mindful of is that booru.org's content rules have changed to ban real pornography, I have no idea whether that includes all photographed nudity yet, but just to be sure please don't post any manips containing that stuff for now, I'll update this if and when I get a clarification on that. There's still some gifs and manips of non-nude figures on the booru, so those seem to be fine to post though.

Gynoidbooru now has 500+ images, and has been operating for an entire year. I'm honestly super happy that it's lasted this long, when I set it up as a "proof of concept" I largely expected it to eventually peter out, but it hasn't, and it's even had a ton of contribution and work from other people! There's been a couple issues down the line, largely to the buggy/low-feature version of gelbooru that we're kinda stuck with (barring the extremely unlikely possibility that I end up being able to host it independently), but i think that we've ended up with something that has the potential to be a really good resource of category-searchable robot artwork in future.

I'd like to thank everyone for helping out with this little project of mine, and I hope that in another year it'll still be active.
