I have installed a new extension on FembotWiki: https://www.mediawiki.org/wiki/Extension:PageNotice
The PageNotice extension provides a way to create a fixed notice messages on the top or the bottom of a page (by individual page name), or entire namespaces (by namespace number).You can define new fixed MediaWiki messages by creating new pages following a special page-naming pattern to hold that message, and then creating your desired message ...

This extension will allow users to add notices to the top and/or bottom of their pages, such as disclaimers.

I have used this extension on my two manbot stories to add a Manbot only disclaimer:

Is anyone else still unable to reach the Wiki?

My IOS phone over wifi can not connect, not with Safari nor Chrome.

Unfortunately Dreamhost did something to their servers recently that only seems to affect users on iOS devices. Fortunately all other devices (PC, Mac, Linux, Android) still work. I am still waiting for them to fix it, but they've gotten a bit slow during the pandemic...

Folks, Blox has managed to identify the issue with the wiki not loading on iOS 14 devices and has instituted a fix.

FembotWiki now has over 75,000 files uploaded!

Blox has just upgraded FembotWiki to the latest maintenance build, 1.35.1.

This is a routine maintenance/security update, however it also added partial PHP 8 support, so I have switched the wiki temporarily over to PHP 8 to test it out. So far everything seems to be running fine, and slightly faster, but there could still be some bugs. Please let me know if you experience any difficulties and I can switch the wiki back to PHP 7.4 in a jiffy.

Happy 13th Anniversary FembotWiki!

State of the Wiki address:
It's been a difficult year, due to the pandemic, but the wiki has still been going strong and has indeed never been better!

In 13 years of operation, we have had 75,059 files uploaded. That equates to 5,774 files a year, 111 files a week, and 16 files a day (some figures rounded up). We currently have the collected stories, art, and manips of 200 authors, and 181 artists. That's a net increase of 10,910 files, 4 authors, and 14 artists from last year!

Now that the raw stats are out of the way, I just want to say this:
Since last year, FaceoffFembot was able to create a bunch of useful tags to help better categorize content on the wiki (https://www.fembotwiki.com/index.php?ti ... :TropeTags). Another newly installed Moderator, Muzzleruffles, was also able to better organize the animated section of the gallery, in addition to uploading thousands of new images.

Due to Blox_242's continued assistance with his technical know-how, we have been able to do the following:
*Upgrade Mediawiki from 1.34, to 1.35, and now 1.35.1
*Upgrade PHP from 7.4.x to PHP 8.0.x, improving page loading speed, performance, and stability.
*Install numerous useful extensions, notably:
**Parser Functions
**RenameUser
**InputBox
**Contributions Scores
**PageNotice
**Support for 3d files
**Many more
*QOL improvements to the CSS to enhance the new dark skin installed last year.
*Even more adaptive Main Page, with a history of Author's of the Month, and New Content to feature newly uploaded stories, artists, or authors each week.

It's amazing that these improvements all occurred within a year, and I am hoping for many more improvements to come throughout the rest of the year! Hopefully FembotWiki will last, and continue to grow for many years to come!
