Identity — Part 2
As Wendell and Izzy left the building, Izzy began to figure out exactly why she felt off.
First was her sense of touch, or lack there of. She could still sense things when she touched them but it didn’t feel like “touch”.
She wondered if this was what it was like when people senses get mixed up and they say they taste blue.
Her sense of temperature was more like looking at a thermometer than experiencing hot and cold.
She noticed that her movements were more calculated and graceful but also more restrictive. Not that any human would notice the last part, as it tended to be little things like not being able to bend her fingers backward, and remembering the designs for a maidroid such things would quickly be overlooked by what her body could do.
A maidroid can do a perfect split both horizontally and vertically, it could put its heel to the back of its head, and perform various gymnastic feats. Maidroid’s were very much divided by the line of perfection/impossible.
Izzy thought she should probably give her new body a go through the motions once she got to Wendell’s.
As she walked into the crowded lobby of Geno Electronics Izzy realized she really didn’t feel self-conscious. She thought she would, here she was walking through a lobby wearing one of the stupid maidroid uniforms for everyone to gawk at. She should be as embarrassed as all hell.
Then again it wasn’t as if they saw her as Isabelle Fox, they just saw a maidroid indistinguishable from any other, and in the lobby there were many others.
The place was full of them, minding the desk, cleaning the floors, some moded for secretarial use followed there owners about. Izzy was part of the scenery, no more noticeable then a vending machine.
They walked out of the building and took Wendell’s car to the mall.

“You still haven’t found something you like?” Wendell complained as they moved from Shop #6 to shop #7.
Isabelle hadn’t really been that picky a cloths shopper before, but the style of cloths she used to like just didn’t look right on her new body. She went through a slew of business suits and sweat shirts, but they all looked wrong on her.
“Look I still haven’t figured out what looks good on this body. The stuff I used to like just don’t work. You could be a little more helpful it the selection.” Izzy explained as they entered the next shop
“Fine,” Wendell grabbed a random outfit from the wall, and handed it to her, “try this on.”
It was a red tank top with a high cut mini-skirt. It was a far cry from the usual conservative dress she wore. In fact it was something she would have never worn.
Part of her though she should yell at Wendell to be more serious, or call him a pervert for his choice, yet as she imagined herself in it, it didn’t seem so bad.
She walked into a change room, striped and put on the outfit. She didn’t look bad, she wasn’t sure she liked the outfit, but she didn’t dislike it. The outfit left little to the imagination, and any pretense at being human was lost as both her serial number and the Geno Electronics insignia showed prominently.
Izzy had never thought of herself as an exhibitionist, then again she had never had a body like this one. Isabelle hadn’t had an unattractive form, but her current one was a Geno Electronics patented android sex goddess.
She opened the change room door.
“Ta-da! What do you think?” Izzy asked.
Wendell was speechless for a moment, then sputtered, “Oh yeh! I mean you look great!”
Izzy looked at herself in the mirror again, she looked kinda slutly, but that didn’t really bother her anymore. The world saw her as a maidroid now, just a machine, they weren’t going to judge her by how she dressed.
“I agree. I do look great.” Izzy replied, Wendell’s praise had changed her opinion from maybe to yes. “Wendell you have great taste.”
Izzy went through the store looking for, cloths of a similar type. She even tried some synthetic fabrics even though she had always hated them for being uncomfortable, but in her new body they felt the same as everything else.
She found none of them objectionable, but for some reason didn’t really like any of them till Wendell gave his sign of approval.
They bought 5 outfits, Izzy left in the first one she tried on and Wendell left grimly looking at the bill.
