"Wholesome" isn't a dirty word for me, I try to make my characters likeable and someone you root for as well. Nothing wrong with that.

I'm so glad you liked it. Admittedly it was a lot of fun to write, so I suppose that helps.
I agree with you that wholesome shouldn't be nearly as looked down upon as it is. There can be some really good, intimate stories told on the "wholesome" genre.
