HUMANS Synth School

Post by Kishin » Fri Apr 01, 2016 3:01 pm

Posting this here for our producers of fembot content.

Having watched the whole first season of HUMANS, something struck me early on about the synths in the show. What sells the synths as robots is the way the actors move, or in this case, don't move.

As the show uses pretty much no SFX, and almost all acting to make you believe the people are machines, I thought our producers would enjoy checking out this very short video and possibly utilizing some or all of the techniques shown or described to enhance their own performances.

That's a really great explanation of the whole philosophy and process behind the training the actors received.
