I haven't read the all-time biggest-selling work of erotic fan-fic, but I'll bet many of our performers have.

Based on a quick read of the wiki entry, I'm thinking the key is contract negotiation.

We'd start where she meets with him, wanting to be taken as a sub.

She's been convinced by her friend, who just had to move away "for work", that she should check him out.
If she likes his looks, she should have a fling (like her friend had).
She did some research first, on sub/dom contracts, and she's brought her own contract.

Uh-oh, that won't cut it. Bots don't set the rules.
She's worried, but he says, he'll take her on - on his terms.
She's happy, she's becoming Stepford quickly now that he's accepted.

She won't react badly at all, when he explains that she will now take an oath.
She recites the oath (as if from memory), positively like it's a combination of the Pledge of Allegiance + wedding vows + girl scouts oath.

- I am now, and will always be no more than the best Good Girl can possibly be.
- As a Good Girl, I am prepared for use .
etc., etc.

Now she's all configured. He can tell her how her friend infected her with nanobots, to prepare her for him.
