I'm glad to hear that there is a new anime with android girl content...
but i do not really have high expectation about seeing our usual beloved topics of malfunction, repair scene, open panels etc...

I hope that this anime do not end in somekind of "Gynoid in Name only"-thing (they do not even have robotic names i think).

I honestly don't think it will be a GINO work. Like TheRealMaestro said, the Giftia's robotic nature is essential to the plot.

nice promo, indeed but i couldn't understand anything of it, since i can't read russian nor japanese.
But still of course i look forward to this anime, and i will 100% going to watch it.
But what i said earlier was about the content of/about repair, maintenance, visible open panel of inner mechanics etc.
Because i believe that mostly all anime producers nowdays, save their efforts for such details...

I mean for example "Kyoukai Senjou no Horizon"
there are a quite a lot of robotic side characters like Kazuno and Musashi etc.. (Automated Dolls which are actually gynoids)
In the Scene where Kazuno get blow apart in two parts.... there was nothing interesting/details to see for people like us ^^;...

Seems like they borrowed the "limited android shelf life" thing from natural city.
Oh well

So did anyone watch this after all? Any comments?

Is it as bad as it looks? I mean the whole thing seems painfully cliché and from what I've gathered many plot points go unanswered. I heard you could have replaced the robot girl with a terminally ill woman and it wouldn't have changed much...

Sadly, this is a case of GINO (Gynoid in Name Only). As far as I'm concerned, the only remotely robotic thing Isla do is say "Error".

It's not even a good anime. How disappointing.

There was an after-credits scene on one of the episodes where her battery was low and was then deactivated after staying up all night. Aside of that, you aren't missing much.

Personally, I thought Plastic Memories was an all right anime despite the cliche. (Mostly because I'm not much of a critic.) I recommend Coyote Ragtime Show if you want some actual android/mekabare content.

(And holy cow, first post I made after what, 7 years?)
