Hey all! I finally got around to setting up a store just for my robot and freeze content! This is the newest release that I shot last week with the always sexy Hannah Perez. Hope you like it
Here is the synopsis:
Best friends Cali and Hannah had a great time shopping today. They decide that it would be really fun to have a girls night in. Cali heads off to cook dinner while Hannah tries to pick out a movie for them to watch. The only problem is that the remote wont work.
Hannah calls out to Cali about the broken remote, but Cali just stands there frozen in place. Hannah walks over to Cali and tries to snap her out of the trance, showing her that no matter what button she pushes on the remote, the TV wont turn on. Suddenly Cali blurts out, "What is your command?" and Hannah soon realizes that her best friend is a robot. She is curious and some what aroused by this new information and asks Cali to take her to the area where she is serviced.
When the girls reach the service area, Hannah starts to explore Cali's inner workings and asks if she is programmed for sex. Cali replies that she can only have sexual relations with males, so Hannah decides to reprogram her with lesbian tendencies.
During their hot and steamy make out session, Hannah jokingly asks Cali if she is a robot too. Cali identifies her friend as Unit 25! The two girls continue to make out until Hannah over heats her circuits. Cali has her lay down on the table and works on her to raise the sexual intensity threshold.
With both fembots properly programmed, the girls decide to have some more fun together.
This 20 minute video includes genres such as robots, fembots, girl girl kissing, nudity, freeze, magic. It is available in 720 HD in the store Cali Logan's Femme Factory:

I haven't seen it yet, but Hannah's last two robot clips with Frank over at hypnolust were quite good in my opinion.

Just got this the other day. One of my personal favorites. Cali does a great rock-still paused robot and doesn't react when touched. Great stuff. The story is quick and to-the-point. The special effects were pretty good –Â obviously it needs to be cheap and easy, so it takes quite a bit of suspension-of-disbelief on the part of the viewer.
For this and future videos, I'd recommend
Additional Dialog Recording (ADR). There were a few times when background sounds were very distracting. The "easy" way to do this is to record "room tone" where you just record the room for 30 seconds or so without anybody making noise. Then when you record dialog or effects to be dubbed over, you mix the room tone back in and it sounds a lot more like it was recorded live.

Awesome tip! I was sooo pissed about the noise.
There are a bunch of little kids that chose my driveway to wait for their parents to pick them up. We cut a couple of times to try and wait it out, but the shoot was already running late. Thought about going out there and yelling at them in my lovely corset and thigh high stockings...but didn't really wanna get arrested, haha.
During editing I brainstormed some shooting ideas to make it look more believable in the next script. Trial and error since Im still somewhat new at the producing end

Hi Cali,
Jason gave some good advice. I work as advertising creative director and when I direct commercials the first thing we do before shooting is record two minutes of solid room tone. Room tone is just another term for ambient noise so as you know the concept still applies when you're outdoors. Another tip you might want to consider is turning off the Air conditioner during a shoot. If it's too uncomfortable with all of the lights on, then record 2 minutes of room tone with the AC running and two minutes with the AC off. That way you're covered if the thermostat decides to kick in during your shoot. My team and I usually hide three of those H4 zoom digital recorders around the room as back up audio, just in case the lavalier mics pick up the rustling of an actor's clothes or the shotgun or boom mic gets bumped. If you don't have a clap board you just hold up an index card while somebody claps their hands in frame to help sync the audio in post. It's amazing all the things that can screw with your sound.
If it starts raining during a shoot, most people will likely stop shooting until the rain passes. They might however overlook the fact that cars sound different driving on wet streets than they do driving on dry streets. So for several minutes after the rain has quit the ambient noise is still very different than it was when they began the shoot. Shooting during rush hour can sound very different than shooting during less congested times of the day. I am always on the lookout for noisy appliances such as refrigerators, computer fans, ect. Turning off cell phones, and land lines seems obvious, but I bet a quarter of the shoots I'm on are interrupted atleast once by somebody's phone.
I have seen people try to include background music and sound effects live and it almost never works. These things are almost always better done in post, where the fx can be mixed separately from the dialog. This has been a long-winded rambling about audio. Good luck with your next shoot..........looking forward to it....

Great story which has the 'legs' to be expanded on, say episode 2..... Were you 'explore' Unit 23 more??
My only niggle has already been addressed with the background sound. But all in all a good production
