According to her twitter feed, fan-favorite model/producer and friend of the boards Ashley Fires was robbed. No one was hurt, thank goodness, but her camera equipment was stolen and her windows were broken. Damn shame.

Indeed. My first thought was, "Let's form a vigilante mob" but those never end well. So, the best I can do for now is send out vibes and just be thankful that no one was hurt.

She also said that with the breakin and trying to chase down payments owed to her that she is thinking of leaving the adult film world. what that means for us exactly isn't clear because she could be leaving the major industry but staying in fetish......or leaving the industry as a model but still producing videos (which is what i hope she is doing if she is in fact leaving)
The quality of her videos is amazing and raises the bar for everyone else. I would hate to see her go.

I cannot speak for the rest of you but if she gave a Paypal donation link to help rebuild the equipment fund i would help.

Well, she does have a Tribute button on her c4s site, so maybe that would help.

Im waiting to hear how that tribute system works. As a producer I still haven't gotten details on that and would rather give to her than have C4S take a chunk.

Hello Everyone!

First I want to say thank you for all of your concern and well wishes. Our studio did get broken into and pretty much all of our equipment stolen. About 25 grand in gear. And the worst part is our insurance had lapsed a few months ago! As many of the producers here know production insurance is really expensive! We pay about 6 thousand a year. We had adult production insurance which covered anything we do shooting adult video including injuries, property damage, loss footage, and of course theft. But we were not shooting on location anywhere too much anymore and honestly our studio is located in an town or even state where crime is a non issue well so we thought! So we thought we would hold off on the insurance till we had more money saved. Big mistake! All it takes is one dirtbag to ruin everything! Having a studio in LA for so long and never having anything like this happen and then moving here only to lose it all has been just horrible!

Lesson learned. Our studio now is locked down better then a prison and we have insurance again. Good news is that they did not take any of our editing computers just the laptops and we have some great Fembot videos in the can that will be out soon! The bad news is we don't have any cameras to shoot anything new. But we are planning to do some kind of Cam show fund raiser in the beginning of Feb. I will let you know when and where. I don't want to just get handouts, I really appreciate people offering but I feel I have to give something back for it.

I am trying to stay positive and not get too down. It's been one devastating event after another. It has been a rough few months! But things will get better.

Also I really want to thank from the bottom of my heart, Evangeline and Torvea Films for their very support and generous offers. To have such awesome studios offer to help as you guys did means the world to me!

And thank you to all of my forum friends. Without all of your love and support I would be super depressed!!!

I will be in Vegas at the C4S booth this coming weekend for the AEE and AVN shows. So if any of you are going to be there then please stop by. I would love to give you a big hug!!!

Lot's of Love,

Ashley
:D

We all have to stick together. Too many producers get all "mine mine mine" and thats just sad. If there is anything I can do just let me know. If you're planning on coming to NYC lets try and book something.
Maybe we can help get some funds together. If we manage Fetishcon I hope you will come to dinner with us. (or at the very least lets have a champagne room party)

Maybe you had equipment serial numbers to give the police, maybe not.

Something to keep in mind - cameras today add information to their movies,
so if you need to identify equipment, comparing the recovered camera's metadata to that stored on scenes you shot could prove ownership.

It'll probably not come up, but I've been wanting to chip in my $ 0.02 since I read of your misfortune.

Wow, that's awful. Here's hoping you manage to recover from your loss.

Have you considered a Kickstarter campaign? Those seem to be very popular these days.

Since this is the thread for this kind of thing, Diana Knight tweeted yesterday that her family suffered a loss, so keep them in your prayers and/or thoughts. My condolences to her and her family.
