This new member's question

Post by xskww » Sun Feb 14, 2021 2:32 am

Hello everyone, I'm a new fan of fembot from China. In China's post-90s generation, many people like fembot.
But because of the camp blockade that lasted until 40 years ago, China is not so open. Therefore, few people know about some special good sex, such as ASFR or BDSM (the number of BDSM is increasing in recent years).(T▽T)
Therefore, I hope you seniors can explain some terms more clearly for me, such as ASFR and technosexuality.
Thank you in advance for your guidance (〃'▽'〃)

Hello, good day.

ASFR is a term that was created somewhere in the 70s by the early internet users and it means Alternate Sexual Fetish Robots.
It used to include many other types of kinks such as petrification and magical body disassembly.
Because in the past people that loved robots were not as organized as today and had to join with other people.
But as robots became popular it started to become less important in favor of the terminology Technosexuality that is just for robots independently of their characteristics as long its robots.
ASFR is a term that is no longer popular and now people can find "robot stuff" easily without associate it with the term.

Technosexuality is a type of fantasy related to robots in sexual or not sexual situations as long it is arousing for the viewer/ participant.
Many other types of fantasies can adhere to robots, so it is a very versatile fetish.

It is nice meeting people from China.

Can asfr be understood as something similar to robot, or something with the same meme as robot? Like some robot imitators?
In addition, can you give me some examples to help me understand technosexuality?
Thank you.

yeah. ASFR is a group of kinks or memes in the dawkinian sense that are about control . For example:

Image
toy people / wind up toys

Image
Statues/ Petrification/ Pygmalion syndrome

Image
Hypnosis/ mind control

Image
Robots

Technosexuality in change is about ANYTHING as long it involves robots.
If you feel a voluptuous compulsion towards robots, circuitry or you enjoy thinking of the person you love as a machine then you are a technosexual.

I like your rather forthright response immediately above xskww, would you kindly post the Chinese word(s) equivalent for female robot, gynoid, android and fembot? Also, if there exists a community that you know of for female robot fans please advise here. Thank you. :)

From an old post I had made:
jolshefsky wrote: Sat Apr 04, 2020 7:48 amTo give a little more history, before the Internet was dominated by websites, there was (still is, somewhat) a service called Usenet which served as a way to communicate with others around the world. It was kind of a hybrid of e-mail and web forums as we know things today in which you could search and download messages from others. It was set up in a hierarchy the reverse of domain names, so for instance there was "rec" for recreation and entertainment, then "rec.movies" for movies and "rec.music" for music, then perhaps "rec.music.dylan" for messages about Bob Dylan and his music, etc.

An un-moderated top-level was "alt" for kind of everything else including eternally-popular sex—"alt.sex". From there various fetishes, "alt.sex.fetish", and our little corner of the Internet, "alt.sex.fetish.robots". People could post stories or reports or even pictures in an encoded format. Of course in the early days one might have a 2400 baud modem which could download at 2.4 kilobits per second or, in modern parlance, about 0.000024 (Edit: was 0.00000024 by mistake) megabytes per second. As such, getting pictures was quite the nuisance!)
I tended to prefer when it was segregated as it was: "alt.sex.fetish.robots" and the abbreviated ASFR once had to do with sexual fetishization of robots—most frequently human-looking machines but also non-human robots that at least had arms and legs (so not sports cars, for instance). Mannequins were somewhat part of this after a while, and the debate over whether to include artificial life forms (e.g. biological clones) has been never ending. Once the pornography industry found a niche to make money, the "ASFR" label got added to content about everything from hypnotized people to frozen (un-moving, not cold) people. I haven't researched who coined the acronym "GINO" but it was needed to identify Gynoid In Name Only when a character (in a movie or pornography) was a robot but no proof was given (never shut down or internal part shown for instance).

In the end it's all about personal preference and what you find sexually exciting. It was handy to have a term for those of us fantasizing about non-alive machines that look like humans.
May your deeds return to you tenfold,

Well, because every letter in Chinese is actually equivalent to English word, every word in Chinese is composed of multiple letters, and each letter has many meanings. So for the sake of accurate expression, I will explain these words in the form of Chinese letter.
female:女性,女
robot:机器人
fembot:女机器人/女机械人
When fembot refers to the type of Japanese animation:机器少女/机械少女
少女 means young lady or miss.
Because of the remnants of Chinese feudal ideology, many parents forced the government to restrict many new things on the Internet. Up to now, all R18 content or content beyond traditional sex on China's Internet can't be searched normally. Similar resources are generally obtained and exchanged through websites like deviantart and pixiv. So I'm sorry, we don't have a community or platform. We're just a group of unorganized fans.

Previously, some people who sell or use latex dolls or inflatable dolls in China have disclosed their views on asfr on the Internet. I'm not sure. Is this asfr? Moreover, their BDSM + asfr game has aroused a strong antipathy on the Chinese Internet (I am no exception, after all, our culture prefers to show the gentleness of superior subordinate relationship).

There is another question, who can know how I carry out RP? In China's Internet forums, we only have text interaction between some players, such as:
"Let go of me!" (struggling)
"Sure, I'd like to let you go, but I need an experimental material for robot transformation" (hold)
"Wuwuwuwuwuwuwu --" (shake your head hard to refuse, shed a few tears)
"All right, come on, my little cute" (nanorobot injection)
"Gulu Well, er... " (falls into a coma)

I don't know for sure. alt.sex.fetish.robots predates realistic sex dolls, so back then there were only very fake-looking inflatable dolls that weren't very robot-like at all. The new silicone and latex dolls are much more realistic looking so I think it is closer to a robot fetish—at least it is for me. Some companies are trying to make robotic dolls which would fit in the category, but since the artificial intelligence is not particularly intelligent, it's not been very exciting for me.

Yeah, for some reason this is getting included in ASFR ... they're not even robots but just tortured women. :( Personally, I would NOT include this in ASFR, nor is it even BDSM (bondage/domination/sadism/masochism) which is supposed to be consensual which this is not either.

Yeah, this is a stroke of red ink away from being guro content. I know this board has a troubled history with gatekeeping what we do and don't cover under the ASFR umbrella (anyone remember manbots?) but this would seem to fall outside of our territory. With the exception of non-consensual TF stories, the majority of ASFR content is hyper-consensual. Built robots are either truly ambivalent automatons or they're designed to enjoy being owned. Most TF stories are self-inserts by people who want to imagine losing control. ASFR will always have a toe dipped in body-horror, but even borgification ultimately features tech at its core.

Hello, friend! Welcome to the board!

To answer your question in as simple a manner as I can, this forum details primarily with Alt.Sex.Fetish.Robot content, also known as ASFR or Technosexuality. This primarily includes fetishes having to do with robotic beings like androids, cyborgs, artificial intelligence and so on.

From what I have seen of your posts and the content you've posted, it's possible that you are getting ASFR confused with BDSM, specifically the type of BDSM that deals with what's known as Objectification, Binding and Latex Play. While we do have some crossover with those sorts of fetishes, we don't specifically cater to those sorts of kinks here. Our primary interest is in robots and associated beings.

Thank you very much for your explanation XD. As Chinese, we are not familiar with these concepts. In fact, these concepts are still unknown (in China), so we still need to know more about it. If you would like to tell me more.

Objectification, at least in this context, relates to literally making people into objects. For example, having someone pretend to be a chair or a table. A mild example of this would be the old trope of eating sushi off of a woman's body instead of a table. I will warn you now, though: This term can be taken very negatively, as it also refers to when someone is being mistreated in a not-fetish-y way, as in they are literally made out to be less than a person via racism, classism, misogyny and etc. If you ask about this on an English speaking forum, be very sure to clarify what you mean.

Binding is the practice of tying up someone or otherwise immobilizing their body with ropes, chains, latex or other similar materials. In this context, keeping someone from being able to move is the end goal. Latex specifically refers to wrapping someone up in latex or a similar material in a way that the material conforms to their body tightly and keeps them from being able to move.

Latex Play specifies BDSM involving latex. Body suits, masks, and latex restraints, wrapping the body in latex, in some cases even referring to beings made entirely out of latex or latex sex dolls.

You may find that several of these items have varying terms depending on where you go or what communities you look for. For instance, binding might also be referred to as bondage and latex play could have material-specific versions for things like leather, cloth, etc.

Hope this helps you out!

Sadly, I can't really help you on the RP front beyond pointing you towards some websites. Your best bet might be to try a site called F-List, though there's a lot of furry/anthro stuff there and that can result in some pretty strong feelings from people. Additionally, I don't really know if any of these sites are blacklisted by Chinese internet service providers.

Sorry about that, I wish I could do more to help you out, there. D:

You're welcome! Again, sorry I couldn't help more.
"If the time should ever come when what is now called science, thus familiarized to men, shall be ready to put on, as it were, a form of flesh and blood, the Poet will lend his divine spirit to aid the transfiguration, and will welcome the Being thus produced, as a dear and genuine inmate of the household of man."
- William Wordsworth
