Due to a recent increase in the number of spam accounts attempting to join, Blox has installed a new extension, Stop Forum Spam, to Fembot Central.

This new extension will help prevent potential spammers from joining the forums by scanning their info against a known, well-established database. In addition, you will notice a new icon on the threads that can allow you to report posts to Stop Forum Spam.

The security of this community is always first and foremost of the minds of the Admin staff. We hope this will help keep our community safer!

I am pleased to report that this feature has so far been a massive success! The number of spam accounts has dropped dramatically since this extension was installed.

I will note that an additional countermeasure has also been enacted by me. Prospective new members might note that they might have to wait a week or more before their account is activated. I apologize for the wait, but the wait does allow more time for any new spam accounts to be flagged.
